At least thats the way I feel about the ones I just did. Nostalgia floorboards, brake pedal cover, and shifter pegs (thanks Mark!). I knew I would like them but I was still surprised at how much they brightened up the bike. Going for a quick ride it was so much nicer glancing down and seeing the new stuff! It made the old stock parts look like junk in comparison.
Soon I will have to do something about the passenger boards but for now this is great. The pics are kind of dar because they wer taken inside the garage but you get the idea. As soon as she is cleaned up and the sun comes back outI will take some more.
Thanks for letting me puff up and crow like a proud papa. By the way, the shifter pegs were a PITA to get off and replace. The floorboard had to come off and so did the shift levers. Thats Ok because I wanted to adjust them both down anyway but I damn near stripped the hex head of the bolt securing the heel shift lever trying to get it off. I'm going to replace that one after I get some loctite for all of them.
Lol i always do this stuff first on teh bike, drives me nuts to see a rig all decked out and the stinkin stock bits all over it still!!! I have bought like 3 of my riding buddies new shifter pegs just cause i couldnt stand looking at the stockers any more. I know, Im a good friend.
Just curious, you said the shifter pegs were hard to remove, jsut take a pair of vice grips and turn them puppies, the stock brake pad comes off with lots of yanking.
