When I picked up a nail in my rear Commander 3 earlier this year, I wanted to go to Dunlop American Elites.
I had enough of the C3 vibration . Dealer couldnt source either the front or the rear.
They had pallets of OEM Dunlops there. Not a fan of the OEM but, in todays world lots of stuff simply isnt being made, being shipped or being stocked.
Its across every industry out there, from restaurants, to car and bike dealerships .
I had Dunlops American Elite tires and after 500 miles I had 2 1/2 splits inside the treads down to the belt. I replaced them with Michelins Commander II and have been happy with them.
Im sure you found tires by now. I replaced my back tire a month ago, right before a trip to Maggie Valley. True that I couldnt buy the Harley OEMs but I had no problem and I did buy the AE's at Cycle Gear which is the equal or better of the OEM.
Literally took me 10 minutes to pick it up and take it to my Indy for installation. Even the Harley dealer offered to install it (rear tire) since he couldnt get the Harley Branded tires anyway.
I did check the date on the tire to make sure it wasnt old stock. Manufacture date was in 2021
I had a hard time finding a front AE in stock that the seller wasn't price gouging. Rolled the dice on a used one from Easy Bay. MFG dates in 2019 and the tread was great with no cupping, I'm good with it. Shipped to me for $105

I was wondering when the gouging would start. I waited (impatiently) for the 2 I ordered from Dennis Kirk, the rear was getting downright sketchy. Made a 300 mile weekend run on it, bald.
They eventually showed, the rear first, the front just last month, but at the usual prices. I am so sick of all this backorder/short supply BS. I live it every day at work, too.
