on my 2010, i added a cvo seat from the 2012 cvo roadglide. i didn't need the pillion, so i didn't buy that part. the seat is reasonably priced, and if you get it from one of the discounters, even better. the pillion is just about as expensive as the seat itself. my only complaint with that seat was that after 6 years, the foam had broken down some and it wasn't as comfortable as it used to be.
This might actually be the hardest question on this forum to answer...which seat is the right seat. I got lucky and replaced my 07 RG seat with a used Sundowner and it was a good move. I don't even know if it is wider or if that really matters. 3 million riders and 12 different seat choices...
