Get the Street Glide rear fender fascia. Looks better and fits perfect with no cutting or drilling;

Ugly rear end;

Pretty rear end;

So how did you install your SG facia without drilling? Did you use double sided tape?

Yes, I used the 3M bumper tape and have the brackets in my toolbox. The part hasn't moved at all

Have you gotten it wet either from rain or washing it? Sounds like a good solution, just want to make sure it is reliable before I "stick it".

Oh yeah, washed/waxed/rained on and ridden from Chicago to Deadwood, S. Dakota, into Wyoming, to Denver Colorado, and back home through Kansas and Missouri all in 12 days with 100 degree plus, temps at times and in the mountains down to @45 degrees. Still stuck real good.

Just prep the area's extremely well and you'll have no problems. I washed the fender with Dawn dish soap to remove any grease and wax. Then used a clean paper towel wet with isopropyl alcohol to clean the area of anything left.

ORIGINAL: PhilM

The hd ones don't fill the gaps in very well. I have some "Hotop" brand fillers that actually fit right. They are in the Drag Specialties catalog. Unpainted are approx $50. You can see them in my photo gallery.
I have the Drag fillers as well. I think they fit and look a LOT better than the HD ones. I had to have whatever I got custom painted, so these were a mo brainer at $50.

If you use the 3M VHB ( Very High Bonding ) tape it will be there for life. I do security work and needed to install an electrified crash bar on a glass door and couldn't figure anyway to make it work so I started checking around and found this stuff and called 3M tech support and talked to them and they told me that I better get right the first time because is wasn't coming off to adjust it.

They said 24 hours after installed it would cure completely and then I would need an Air Chisel to get it off. Well its been on now for close to a year and I can do pull ups on it. If you get it just make sure you measure and remeasure and when you commit you better hope your happy with it for a long long time cause you ain't getting it back off.

Good Luck!!!!!
