Default Hello all..

New member but not new to the site. First I’d like to thank all the members here for their advanced knowledge, humble educations and Hmmmm.. why not.. Words of Wisdom!!
I’ve had many long nights scrolling through this forums threads covering thought, questions and issues myself or someone I know had. I owe many of you a beer for the time and money I have saved over the years. I appreciate all of you for taking the time to answer someone’s question regardless of topic and the 100th time someone has had to do it. Normally I find my answer with a Google search, immediately look for a related if not exact HD forum thread and Voila.. answers!!
Today was my first “Wow!! Really??” moment looking for an answer and it wasn’t there.. lol.
Bright side to this… Y’all get to meet me and I get to be that guy that possibly ask something that’s a “Duhhh” or has been asked 74 times this year. Sooooo yeah.. let’s get this over with.

I have a 2013 Street Glide w/factory hard bags. I want to change my hinge covers and saw a set online I like and goes with the rest of the decor. Add reads as follows: Fits FLT 1993-2013. Seem like a long stretch for the Touring family to use the same hinge assy. But I’m a firm believer in the “if it ain’t broke, why fix it?” logic. I’m sure most of you have figured out my question.. will they fit my bike?
Lol.. I know.. unless as a group one of you have used one form1993-2013 as a replacement on a 2013.. who knows?? Well I’m hoping one of a’ll!! Hate to spend $50.00 wait however long it takes to get them, touch them, really dig them and then be disappointed they won’t work. Rather be disappointed tonight so I can move on. I’m rooting for the home team!! Make me “well aight then” or “well damn”.
Appreciate any assistance y’all can offer.

They’ll fit your bike. The hinge covers are the same from 93-13. In 14 they changed with the Rushmore platform. Welcome from VT, there’ll be a curmudgeon named @BuzzCap7 that'll be by soon to tell you how to introduce yourself formally

Not knowing what hinges you are considering, I'd have to say that I have no idea...... BUT...

I know these two facts....

1) The saddlebag latches changed in 2014 with the Rushmore bikes. The latch, and the way the bag lids open, is completely different from 2013 to 2014...

2) The 1993 Electra Glide used the same part number saddlebag latches as the 2013 Electra Glide- Right latch assembly #90665-93 and Left latch #90664-93

So if the vendor making the latches, is making a quality latch, that is accurately sized to the same specs as the OEM latch... then it will fit hard saddlebags from 1993 through 2013..

Good luck with your mod...

DAMN-- DAWG types faster than I do....

Welcome from Spartan Country, Michigan!
I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, a rough idea of your range per tank, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding, and upwards of 230+ on trips.
Good Luck!!
