[:@]got 2.5 d&d slip-ons with 12"baffles in them on my 07 sg.after trying 4 different maps i am still getting decel pops and tech is not any help to me.changed 23 to 50then to 15 from 16.got less with 15 but still getting some.any suggestion
A buddy of mine had the same problem and He found the problem was caused by a exhaust leak at the mufflers. Tech said any leak in the exhaust could cause the popping. may want to check for a leak. Also be patient I'm sure some of the guru's on here will chime in. One things for sure there is a ton of information on this site as well as some of the smartest individuals you could ever meet when it comes to info. about our beloved Harleys
Good luck with this and hope you have your answer soon

At what throttle setting are you getting the decel? Is the throttle completely off when you decel? The reason I ask is because that is the only way I can get mine to pop on decel. I let go of the throttle completely and it won't pop, but if I have it on just a fraction I can get it to pop. I would also check for air leaks as stated before. Good luck.
Sounds like a Air Leak... Check the Header (at the head) torque and the mufflers for a leaks... Have been running a FuelPak since I got the '07 and after 1 adjustment (changed mode 23 - from 16 to 50) all popping was gone...
If you are still running the stock HD headers w/the cross over and with your D&D slip ons, then at least what we were told, the left muffler is allowing too much air back in on decel. Zippers makes a $5.00 piece to go into the left side to fix that.
Tell them you need the part for the left muffler that stops the popping on decel and that you still have the HD headers with the cross over pipe. Hubby thinks it was called a donut of some sort (don't hold him to that lingo) but it is a 5.00 part that looks like a brass end cap (that slips inside between your head pipe & muffler) with a small hole, about 1/2" drilled in the center to restrict the airflow back into the muffler. The left side due to the cross over pipe really doesn't get much airflow and after you changed the dummy pipe, it is now trying to allow too much air back in. (hence the popping on decel) This part fixes it.
With the fact that they don't have the settings for your pipes on the site it is probably going to take some tweaking and guesswork on their part to get it right. They are probably going with the settings for similar pipes. Not the exact ones. I just did my Fuelpak with Rinehart slip-ons the other day and had some mild decel pop around 30-20mph. Called them and they said to change Mode 23 to 15. Went out today and the decel pop is gone.
I am really wondering what the difference between 15 and 50 in Mode 23 is.
