Did the 3 hole oil change and plugs last night and took her out for a 70 mile short ride. What a difference some oil and plugs make! She still misses every now and then but nothing like it was doing. As for the engine light it still comes on at random moments local shop said they would do a diagnostic for $89 but havent decided if it is that important at the moment. After 15 years without a bike I am really enjoying this. Pulled the plugs when I got home just to see if it was still running rich or lean but I dont think 70 miles was quite enough
02 Electra Glide Classic EFI
Don't think it will help you but I have another thread about the same.
Mine will come on while riding and go back off a few minutes later, Seems everything is fine until I hit about 70 MPH.
Goes back off when I slow down then comes back on intermittently until the next startup. Sometimes I don't have to get it up to speed
Never sets any codes even historical. Several people have said it may be this or that but I'm not one to just throw parts at it and hope one sticks. I've decided to just ride it until it comes on solid then I'll start checking again.

My 07 ultra will do this but sets a code for cyl misfire. It's ALWAYS under high load, 80mph in 6th gear climbing when we are traveling. It never happens around home. I've chalked it up to a marginal tank of gas.

Doesn't sound like the bike is running fine too me. Running too rich is a symptom. As already mentioned here a few times, check the codes is the very first step.
Ok guys I have finally got the codes by counting the blinking lights and it is a 41 and a 42 witch are a cam shaft position sensor and a crank shaft position sensor….not sure where I am supposed to go from here.

Clear the codes, see what happens. Check cam position sensor in nose cone for goo. And get a Factory Service Manual if you're gonna work on the bike!
