I ts very fast runs very well , but the engine light comes on dealer said is because of power commander not to worry was wondering if he's full of crap or if this is common. also previous owner installed popup gas caps&nbsp\\; w/ no guage and low fuel light is on all the time any suggestions?

When you purchase a Power Commander, the instructions say it may cause the key-shaped security light to come on and stay on.&nbsp\\; It doesn't mention the engine light, but I suppose it could affect that, as well.&nbsp\\; If it's running good.....

If you power up the PC with a battery and turn your ignition on while the PC is being externally powered you will set an ECU error code. This will cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate. In that scenario it is harmless (it seems to the ECU as if the main relay has stuck closed because in that situation it should have been open [and indeed was]). I forget just now what the particular error code is, but if that is what is happening in your case it is a clear-the-code-and-forget-it type of situation.

What error code is your ECU reporting?

Hold the speedo select/reset button while turning on your ignition to enter the code-reading mode in your odometer. You can press the button momentarily to cycle through the categories and when in any of them, hold the button until it starts reporting the codes (or says none). I believe that if there are codes, subsequent button presses will cycle through the list.

Check the plug wires and the tip on the plug to see if it is tight.
