need some help with check engine light
hooked up my new pc v and side shots looks great and the pc is doing the trick no decel pop and just runs smoother imo my problems is that when i turn the bike on and start it the check engine light will come on for like 4 or 5 sec and go off i know that this is a historic code? from what i have read and im new to the whole bike ordeal and need a dummy guide to clearing that out so i can have some piece of mind thanks so much guys

I put a PC3 on a Softail one time and after that the check eng light would stay on a few seconds after the engine was running, never set a code. I called Power Commander support and they said it was normal .

Ah, I haven't seen the light come on a second time so I can't say for sure.

i understand from what i read that if the light stays on thats a different story but if it comes on and goes off after 5 or so sec that its a historic code and their is some way to clear it

I'm not going to say yes for sure, just telling you that mine did that and there was no problem. Call Power Comander and talk to them, or Jamie at Fuel Moto. This was a common problem for a while on some bikes, there was alot of posts on this very subject in the Softail forum, same EFI setup.
