it is here as well... i was thinkin about the classic and standard glides... looks like its standard on all others now... a good thing, should be standard on the rest of the touring rigs now... all it should be is a new switch housing and that's it... the ECU should have the code already installed, just waiting for the hardware to use it...
My '08 SG did not come with cruise control, it was an option (apx $245). Perhaps your dealer ordered yours that way. I have one on order which won't be available til Sept.
Just checked HD web site. CC is a factory installed option on the SG. It is not standard.
bobros, if you select UK as the country and look, CCappears to bestandard on the SG
ORIGINAL: bobros

You're wrong Bonz, certainly in the UK
Cruise is not an option, its standard on an 08 SG

You know I like the 08's, sawa couple during a factory tour in York, and have also seen some at dealers, I personnaly like the crimson red denim, they had one in york you could sit on, but I went with the 07 because I got in $3000 under MSRP!!! 16900 with security(Black Pearl) couldnt turn it down. If that weren't the case I would have went with the Crimson Red Denim SG.
Local dealer has a Pearl White SG, beutiful bike but considering the new changes which most are good to just okay in my book a 07 would be the way to go. On the 08's no changing handle bars till they figure out the interal throttle by wire deal. No power commander or tuning upgrade because of the same issue. They say the front disc is floating but its not a true floating rotor. So when the new power commanders come out they will be at a premium price along with everything else. One thing that really irked me was why put the throttle wires inside the bars while all the other wires are on the outside...just didn't make much sense. The new brake calipers look great though. Just my .02 on it.
There are pros and cons. I have an 07 black pearl Road Glide and love it. As for the fly by wire, just another electronic thing to go wrong. As for the brakes,
a!salesman and service writer the brakes can only be serviced by the dealer, no more do it yourself pad changes. Either way both bikes are awesome.
