Default Wheel interchange

I’ve been chasing a reared wobble a while not on my new to me 07 Electra glide ultra classic. Riding into work this morning and it was real bad. Couldn’t go over 60mph. Got home and started looking at my rear wheel and notice 4 broke spokes.

I found a set of spoked wheel and tires off a 13 Softtail heritage classic online for sale. Research I did shows both are 16 x 3 front and rear like mine and both 1 inch axles. I think they will fit. Anyone know if they will or if I need to do something?

a few hundred dollars with new tires is cheaper than getting the wheel completely relaced.

Have you looked into just replacing the broken spokes or getting the wheel relaced? No cross model fitment issues.

Well, that was a no go. I picked up the wheel and tires off the 13 soft tail heritage classic I bought off OfferUp. Swapped the belt pulley off my wheel, I found out it was a 70 tooth not a 66 like stock. And since I’m using it to commute I figured that would give me better gas mileage.

I couldn’t get the wheel in the swing arm without the brake disc and pulley hitting something. I found the the offset on the pulley side on my hub was 1 3/16” and the 13 soft tails offset was 1 5/8”.

I guess I will just have my wheel relaced. At least everything will be new then.

Sorry , that sucks , could have sworn my buddy did the same with no issues , tried to contact him , but no answer from him yet .

Could you not use different spacers to correct the offset , maybe your local dealer would know .

This is why I got rid of the spoked wheels on my Road King. That wobble was so bad it liked to kill me.

Unless I’m doing something wrong it wouldn’t fit between the swingarm without hitting.
