The shop manual diagrams do a great job on wiring for everything, including pin #'s, except doesn't show the actual legend diagram showing which pin # location is which on the actual connector.
I searched threads here and saw nothing, so I'm making this thread in hopes it will help others.

If you are wondering where pin #1 is on the actual connector Get yourself a magnifying glass and look REAL GOOD at the connector. On my RK and V-Rod the connectors have pin numbers stamped on them. Real small. You need good eye sight but they are there.
Also as an alternative to locate Pin 1 check the wiring diagram for the color of the wire plugged into Pin 1 of the connector then locate the same wire on the actual connector.
Once located, validate the other pin /wire color combination for verification of your findings.
