I installed one last winter. Looked up all the recommend ones, every single one had good reviews and bars reviews as well. Ended up just installed the latest version from HD, the 79D, so far so good
Mine was (I think,) the 79C a few years back and it took 500 miles or so to 'break in.' Once settled, it lasted 60,000 or 70,000 miles. Highly recommended.
Glide pro is good, I used theirs 2or3 years ago. However…There was a thread recently about a company that makes these mounts in the different rubber compoundslike the originals, in different versions as they evolved over the years. I think they are sold on eBay for 40 or 50 is bucks shipped? Can’t remember the name of the company. Somebody here will know.
There was a discussion about these Barry Controls mounts on the HTT forum.
The engine mount is technically called a "bonded tube mount". An American company called Barry Controls makes the mounts. Their #507-1NS mount is supposed to be the same as the original HD front engine mount that everybody loved, which was the Harley "B" mount. They offer them in different hardness ratings, 2NS, 3NS, & 4NS, all getting stiffer as the number increases.
From that thread;
"OK I talked to John at Novibration.com. (Distributor for Barry Controls)
Which is now owned by Hutchinson Aerospace Industries.
He is in engineering. Real nice guy and very knowledgeable.
Asked about the application for the early touring bikes and he was very familiar with it.
He said the code 1 was the original mount used.
He said the code 3 would be substantially stiffer and more apt to transfer vibrations."
If you go to Harley Tech Talk and search "Barry Controls", the thread will come up, along with some ebay links and the discussion of the mount. Seems to be a better alternative, and cheaper, than the new HD "D" mount (#16207-79D) or several of the aftermarket offerings...

I've tried a couple different brands of front motor mounts. and keep going back to the stock mount. I now have a couple of pretty worthless mounts hanging on my garage wall. To remind me, I suppose. Aftermarket isn't always an improvement.
