You may get more complete results with addition of parameters.
For example:
How many days of bike rental?
Are you looking for day rides and return back to base?
Are you looking for overnight rides?
Are you looking for rides, things to do or are you more interested in looking for a place to live near St Augustine?
For example:
St Augustine historic district is a nice walking area with a fort.
The slow ride along the water with a stop at the pier in Flagler Beach is rather nice.
Then continue riding along the coast to Daytona.
Park for a quick free look of exterior of Rockerfeller House that is called The Casements located along intercoastal (take a look at water) and then continue along coast with a stop later at Racings North Turn (it has history) located on the beach for a beverage and then eating along the water near Ponce Inlet lighthouse (outdoor bar with food in a basket) can be rather enjoyable.
Upon return The Destination Daytona Harley store can be interesting.
Then either I-95 or a slow but relaxed ride going north on US1.
Then a stop at Murray Bros. Caddyshack ( located about 12-15 miles north of St Augustine historic district ) If you liked the movie then you might like the stop for a snack/drink upon return to St Augustine area.
That can make for a complete day.

No helmets, insurance, or inspection required on bikes here. Florida is a very motorcycle friendly place, and as long as you're not writing like an *******, you can run pretty much any equipment you want and the cops won't bother you.

I live in the Brooksville area too. We love it.

St Augustine is a great area with lots to do. It will not disappoint you.

We still enjoy freedom here. You will like it.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Looking forward to checking out Florida. I'll be there 11/16-23 if anyone interested in doing a ride.

Its a mixed trip, looking for places to live within driving distance of Naval base where my wife works. Day trips for the bike. Want to see what riding is like in general because weather allows more riding than here in WA.

Don't live in FL, but frequent the state from NC. Takes a bit longer than a day to enjoy, but the Keys are a nice place to go. And if you start missing the left coast, FL has that too. My wife grew up in Sarasota, so lots of places around there. Also avoid I-4 in Orlando. Seems like they've been working on that since Ponce De Leon came to town.

You don’t need insurance at all? How does that work?
