Default Installing Thundermax and Fullsac

I'll be installing them this weekend maybe Fri night. Any tips? Do's/Don't's?

Passing Lamps and Hog Tunes also.

Buy a $10 02 sensor socket from O'Reilly's, AutoZone, or whomever. Soak your present 02 sensors with a Penetrating lubricant ASAPand leave it until you are ready to do the job. Follow the instructions for loading a map, granted you downloaded these instructions from the Zippers website so you can begin studying the install instructions. Once you get the actual hardware placed on the bike, and go thru the process of loading a map, post if you hit any snags, I should be on all weekend since I have to work.

If you are using Windows Vista, make sure you download the install instructions from Zippers for this too. It's a bit different than WinXP or others.

EDIT: forgot to mention to get some bug cleaner to clean your teeth once the work is finished. You are gonna LOVE it and wonder why have anything else.[sm=gears.gif]

Oh yea, forgot to mention, use some dielectric grease on ALL connections including the Thundermax harness ECM connection. Keeps moisture away.

Thanks UK, I just ran out and sprayed theO2 sensors. I'll stop at the auto parts place for the socket and some dialectric greasetommarow.

Going to go get the directions from Zippers sitenow. How do the SE's sound with a properly tuned engine? Do you have true duals?

I stayed with stock headers with my slipons. My pipes have about 5k miles on them so the sound is a bit deeper than when new. Just wait till you ride your bike after the TMax is setup. You are not going to believe what you feel. It felt like I put cams in my bike, as it woke it up that much. You just THINK you love your bike now................just wait. PM me if you need anything this weekend. I'll do my best to stay available.

EDIT: I used a box of disposable gloves when messing with the freaking dielectric grease. That stuff is slicker than owl **** and gets EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you read through the entire 110 page instruction manual, then read the short 8 page version twice. That will have you dancing with the right steps, and be sure to connect all the harnesses. I missed one and it did not see the 02 sensors (doh!). If you see a section for setting up the Idle Air Control {IAC}, skip it as you don't need to perform that step. When all issaid and done you should be able to see the current map running in the software, and the map loaded into the bike.Great product...you'll love it!

If you need help just hollar, and don't be afraid to use the search feature above as there is a lot of Thundermax Help sections already written throughout this forum. I've posted a few help sections for the Thundermaxmyself, and so have many others.
