Remove the cat.., you'll love it

Don't tune.., you'll lose low end - enough to matter..., ride it and find out

If you do the drill out method and there are no external marks on the pipe, would a Harley tech care/notice anything was different during the warranty period. I kinda doubt they are going to take the pipe off to look. It would be louder and have much less heat at the CAT.
Have not done it to my M8 yet bed did my Low Rider several years back, no need to remove exhaust as the drill method works fine. Like the idea of the cylinder hone after removing the cat.

All good stuff here, guessing would need a flexible extension of some sort to run the bit deep enough?

From the youtube videos I've seen, a 17" auger bit will chew through it easy. Its a straight shot so no flexible extension required.

If you have o2 sensors before and after the cat, the bike will stay in open loop and run off the ecm which is rich, and not go into close loop and run off the 02s but you will have a check engine light

Just use a spade bit with an extension, it will cut thru it quickly.

Buy a used pipe online decat it put it on. Any issues with bike put stock one back on. But run the new one await let it get used some first..
Bike will not show cat removed 02 sensors are in front of Cat. But in diagnostics CAT area should be real hot if not it may cause a closer look.
