Pulled on my throttle cable and jacked it all up. I was at a sporting goods shop when it happened and of course nobody saw it.
I'm afraid of what I might do if I ever caught the bastard.
Anyway, I'm looking to replace both of them since they are getting old. How difficult is this job and how long will it take?

You got your answer on the cable replacement. Now I want to know who TF would jack with someone's property. That infuriates me. The job itself is straight forward once you get under the tank. The hardest part for me was getting the cables into the cradlle on the intake without dropping the ferrules.
I just replaced both of mine - the primary cable (two cable system) broke, and I decided the idle cable wasnt too far behind so I did both. What makes you think someone tampered with it? They do fail as a wear item.............
I noticed the grip was tight to turn and it was not that way 30 min prior to being there. Plus the cable had a SHARP kink in it towards the grip.
the plastic was pulled away from the chrome.
Someone PULLED it alright. Called the sporting goods store for video but they said there's no cameras for the parking lot.
Two things I hate in this world is thieves, vandals, and *********! And all thieves and vandals are ********* so if it's one thing I hate it's *********! Hang them all!
