Default 2001 Electra glide Ultra classic Fuel tank internals not matching

So this is my story..
Purchased 2001 clean af bike 9k miles.. road it 16 miles and died.. Rusted and failed tank liner.
1) removed tank.. had it cleaned and relined.
2) purchased full new internals from Harley (#75126-02C)
3)got everything together BUT
Original power pigtail on tank is 4 pin and NEW pin on tank is 3 pin

What do I do? HELP PLEASE.

The first thing I would do is edit my post to remove my phone number. The second thing to do is have a little patience, it's only been 2 hours, give it a day or two, I'm sure someone will get back to you.

I'm not at home, and can't check my 2001 electrical diagnostic manual for a schematic.....

But checking the online parts finder, the superseded part number (#75126-02C) shows a system that clearly only uses three wires. It also mentions that the kit does not come with a new harness.

The new harness, as shown on the parts diagram, also has the 3 pin connector on one end and it splits into two connectors at the other end. One is a one pin connector and the other is a two pin connector..... It certainly doesn't need four pins to function...

Seeing all that, the only thing that comes to mind, is this....

Does your current 4 pin connector have a wire to each pin.....??

Or does it only use 3 pins of the 4 pin connector....??

If it only uses 3 of the 4 pins, you just need to buy the new harness, and you will be plug and play...

If it use all four pins in the old connector, you would need to see a schematic. You would then be able to see what was deemed not necessary on the old circuit, for the new circuit... you would then need to figure out a work around, if one is necessary....

Sorry I can't be more help...

original harness had 4 wires, 2 black, one yellow/green and one yellow/white. the 2 black were spliced into one and ended at the bottom of the harness 3 wires.
70369-01 is the part number.. Almost none existent.. I did find one out of state.
Pictures are to clarify my old setup was 4 pin harness and fuel tank top connector.

Appreciate the help. I have it ironed out.
p.s. i cant figure out how to remove my phone.. sorry
John
