I did this, and wish I would have sooner,, Kept my same height but the better springs and emulator vales are sweet big difference on uneven surfaces especially in curves, better stability stopping as well. I am getting ready to put these on my Softail.

Made a huge difference in handling on my TriGlide when I put in Progressive springs. When the time comes for rebuild I’ll do some type of upgrade.

What about new springs?

I've never seen new springs included in a routine fork rebuild.

Have them replace the springs during the 50k fork rebuild. You'll notice a difference.

50K service is just the 10K with a few more 'checks'.

Fork fluid is drained and refilled. Anything more is based on the technicians suggestions.

They only do oil
They do all the seals with new oil
They do a full rebuild kit with new oil
Do springs too

Got it now? LOL!!

I think the dealer uses a tool from Jim's and sucks out and replaces the fluid only. My 50K also consisted of a fuel filter and steering head service.

in my experience, the dealer will do as little as possible. unless you specifically ask for them to service your shocks, they won't. granted, this is reflected in their pricing, they don't charge a susbtantial difference between the different mileage services. so if you ask for the steering head bearings to be serviced, or the shocks serviced, or the brake fluid serviced, etc. expect to pay more than what they have listed on their board.
