I went into my local dealership checking out the’22 Road Glide Standard after checking out the website. I was expecting the prices to be a bit over MSRP but the dealership is asking $5000 over in my area. When I bought my Low Rider, the price wasn’t that inflated but that was two years ago. I guess the demand is much higher on these and the Street Glides as well.
How are the prices in your area?

Hopefully nobody is a sucker and pays that. You'll never recoup that money when you go to trade in. Imagine paying $5k over msrp then the supply chain issue is fixed in 2 years and you go to trade that in 4 or 5 years down the road. You'll lose your ***.
Inflation, supply chain issues and Geopolitical events are always transitory. Everything will get back to normal. Don't let the dealerships scare tactics let you think otherwise. And the housing market bubble will pop again as well and the house prices will come crashing back down. Just have patience.

Wow.. $5000 over MSRP.. that's insane. I guess they figure they're going to get it.
Up here in the frozen north of Canada.. I paid MSRP for my 2022 Road King. (Exactly what they list them for on the Harley web page). I got a good deal on my trade-in. Quite a bit more than I thought they'd give me.. That clinched the sale.
I guess since there is so much damn snow on the ground up here right now, nobody is even thinking of riding so the demand is pretty low...
To me that's like hanging a sign in the window that says "We don't want your business." I won't go to that dealership for parts or anything.
There's a large dealership nearby that has a brand new Taj Mahal building, and their used prices are $3-5K higher than all the other dealerships within hours of me. I see very little inventory turnover there.
They can ask what they want. Don’t be a dumbass and pay it. One of the dealers near us advertises at MSRP.
Exactly. Don't pay it!! Only we as buyers can stop the madness. If everyone bands together and refuses to pay these ridiculous mark up prices and all these extra sur charges they will go away. Let the bikes sit at the dealerships and make them learn the hard way. We will not be taken advantage of!!
