Do you like the way the bike rides now? Some people have zero issues with stock and put all their miles on that way. No one is the same. If you're fine with the way it rides. Meh, header. Lol. I just would find a better header. And I have an all upgraded suspension. Bang for the buck to me was doing the fronts. Even with the ohlins on the rear. I felt the biggest improvement was when I did the Progressive monotubes up front. I'm on all air now. See how that goes when the weather breaks.

Incidentally, I live about 8 miles from where Super Shox are built but my HD dealer (who's also close-by) gave me a discount, so I ordered from my dealer instead of directly through the factory.........just think 4 weeks is a long time to wait...my HD dealer agrees.
I just called Super Shox and put in my order. Was told they are a couple of weeks out from shipping, but wouldn't charge my card until they shipped. She said I'd get an email when they ship. Hoping her definition of a couple of weeks is two. 4 weeks is definitely a long time to wait.

I was told same. Called at the end of two weeks for an update. Brian said they'd be in my hands in a week. He was right

Wasn't charged until they shipped either

the stock rear shocks are worse than the stock head pipe, so definitely shocks!!!

That’s some serious preload!

14" premium SS with the relocation mount

The mount gives it the same ride height as the 12" stocks and keeps the shock from hitting the muffler.

Not sure where they are now, it's been a few years, but this pic was taken when I first bolted them on....took some time to dial them in where they weren't too firm/bouncy.

So which is the better bang for the buck at this point, headers or the shocks? Thanks

Harley two into one pipes have the collector section so far away from the heads to begin with, plus the ID of the pipes so large, that your not getting much scavenging Venturi effect in the first place to add that much increase in HP. Truth is, if you treat the low reving HD motor on the thought of it being more like a diesel engine, being the richer you run the motor, the more amount of torque you will pick up ( over trying to over rev the motor to gain HP that way instead), the better off you will be.

As for suspension, just changing the weight of oil in the forks and shocks goes a long way to better increase the handling of the bike on the stock OEM shocks to begin with.

Exactly what I ordered. Can't wait to get them in and on the bike.
