Default battery tender question

Can you feed back to your battery through the cigerette lighter?

Default RE: battery tender question

I don't know the real answer to that, other than it looks like maybe this thing isn't wired like most cars are. Mine works great as a lighter, but won't drive a device (like charging my cell phone). Maybe it's just mine, I don't know. That little adapter that comes with a battery tender is so easy to use, I don't know why you'd want to go any other route anyway.

Quick answer...no. unless you leave your ignition switch on.Not recommended... Or rewire it (the cigarette lighter) direct to the battery. And if your gonna do that you might as well just install the Tenders quick disconnect plug.

I have my tender leads hooked to the battery permanently. I just plug it in when I get home and I'm done. The lighter is wired to the ignition switch and only has poer when it's on. My advice is to hook up the pigtail and leave it on the bike all the time.

Good luck.

I agree with luvmyflhtcui. Just make sure those open ends are water proof & sealed
