Default Isolation Drive System

It's my opinion the IDS was a direct "fix" for the problems the 07's have....

I have a problem with Harley and there "In your face" attitude, they know it's a product that should be a RECALL for any 07 out there..
some figure it's just a band aid... none the less, it's just something that "You have to add to the $$$"s you've already spent"..

Sure the EPA is on there ***, but were not in the infancy of this motorcycle, they just use your loyalty for there gain... And there laughing
all the way to the bank.

I don't like the idea I need to spent 2000.00 for fuel management/True Duals/ and a better air filter.. and now the 305.00 for the IDS..

Which I haven't done nothing but SE one piece slip-ons.. and the 903 download...

I bought a Harley because my Dad had Harley's when I was younger, I don't remember seeing him add anything to them...
but I was a youngsteer... I do know they weren't 23,000...

I think the IDS should be offered to any 07 96 inch stroker owner at a greatly reduced price, if not free...
They have Ice skated over this issue too long...

I'm calling customer service and logging my complaint, I know some have already done this, but more need to...

I sold a 71 SS 454 El Camino (496) that put 650 hp to the pavement, I put my heart a sole in building that engine, and when I bought
the Harley, I figured I was buying into the same type of quality, Well how wrong I was, I know, some of you are going to say Go buy a goldwing and shut up, Well I've had a fewWings in my time, and I won't bash that bike... But come on thisis a HARLEY damit...

It's time we all stood up and said " I'm mad a hell, and i'm not going to take it anymore.."

I rest my case.... I'll re-phrase... What's a person to do...

Not really sure what my question was.... just a bit PO'ed about my Harley experience..
Not the ride, just thought there would be more support.. Maybe I'll just try another dealership...

Won't be long till you walk up to a parts counter and a monitor light's up and a person from India
come's on the screen, and say's "May I help You?" and then it's shipped to you from Mexico..

Wake Up America, It's time to go back to work!...

I don't think there is a right answer Richard... thats why no one is posting...
You really didn't ask a question or state anything worth us getting mad and all post-whoring about.

Basically, you just stated the same ole thing we've been hearing since day one. No offense.

I don't as my '07 SG makes zero noise. I must have gotten a "good one"

What do you suggest we do?Boycott Harley? There will always been 10 people ready to buy verse the one who boycotts so what good will that do? Harley makes a productand it is what it is. The best you can do is make an informed purchase and be happy with it. If you made an uninformed purchase and are not happy than that is your bad.

I read all the complaints about the '07's on here and still traded my'05 softail in for a '07 EGC. I took the bike for a test ride before I bought it, noticed no problems and have been happier than sh*t.

i think if they meet me halfway ,,,,,whatever that is or just make an attempt to do something for us it would be well recieved amd restore faith in the customor relations ...you would think that would be worth more bucks in the long run to the moco....i dont know if i will get one right now or not,,maybe see waht happens

Unless your dealer wants to be nice and give you one, either gratis or with a major discount, you are probably SOL getting anything from the Moco. I discussed this with them already, and the part is called a "vehicle enhancement," and not designed to fix anything. Yeah, right, and I was born yesterday--but that's the scoop. The guy I spoke with is someone I'm acquainted with from earlier discussions and is a straight shooter. He said that based on his test rides, it may not fix all the noises, but he recommended the part be installed on '07's. That's good enough for me, and I just placed my order with Zanotti's. Now, I'm gonna install the dadgum thing and quit bitchin'. That's the only negative marring an otherwise very positive experience with this MC. Damn, it may be perfect after installing the IDS, so what'll I do then? Nothing to fix or upgrade! I may be miserable.

FWIW, If you order from Zanotti's, they will press the bearing onto the pulley for an extra $10 charge. Helluva deal. You must order the part, then email them with that request after the fact. My contact on that deal was John.
