What tuner do you have with your cams ( and what cam) and why? What pipes are you using as well i have a 2018 SGS, with Bassani true duels, s&s 475 cams(actually did the full cavity, cam plate, oil pump, pushrods, tappits and tappit plates) and finally swiched from fp3 to Thundermax. Thank you in advance for your responses
I do not have cam upgrade in my bike, but I do plan on it. Right now, I just have SE Heavy Breather with RH pipes and PowerVision tuner. When I do upgrade cam and oil pump, I will have it tuned on a dyno. I will not rely on PV for that.
Running a Powervision tuner with a Redshift 468 cam and an S&S Sidewinder 2-1.
PV because it's better for what I did than the FP3. Though I'm sure the FP3 would have done a fine job. But in the end. I wanted to try something different. Last bike was a FP3 and I just put a FP3 on the wife's 2019 Freewheeler.
Redshift 468 was on my short list with the 475 S&S and the Woods 22xe. Friend is a Harley mechanic. And suggested the 468 as he had done multiple builds with UT and loved where it hit. I'm not disappointed with his suggestion.
S&S 2-1 because I had to run a 2-1. Want to get all that i can from the cam and S&S was on the short list with a Boarzilla and a FatCat but founf the tome.of the S&S to be more to my liking and the seat of the pants dyno won't notice a difference. But I've been told the Sidewinder is under rated and tunes as well as the top ones.
Don't know. I know I live the sound. Love the look. Love the way my bike runs.
In my M8 (FXLRS) Tman 216 cam, AN big sucker, S&S superstreet 2-1, SE cam plate/oil pump, S&S lifters/rods/guides, and dyno tuned with PV.
OP, just curious, but why do you ask? You set up sounds like it should be awesome.
I've run it for 2 weeks woth the fp3 on it and bottom end is not good at all, it is currently getting the Thundermax installed, hopefully get it back by the weekend.

The true duals are going to kill your low-end. Not some much on a twin-cam but the m8 hates them
To maintain my warranty I went with the Screamin Eagle torque cam, tuner and ventilator air cleaner. I also went with Rinehart slimline duals. With a dyno tune I'm getting 100 HP and 124 ft/lbs of torque out of my 107. That's plenty for my fat old ***.
I hummed and hawed about the exhaust because of my warranty but I trust my dealer and he said that down in the US there is the odd dealer who will be ********* and flag your bike for aftermarket exhaust, but he has never heard it happening in Canada. I'm confident they will look after me one way or the other.
