Default Lower Fairing - Quick Release

HD makes a quick detach kit for the Ultra's lower fairings. Was wondering if anyone has installed this kit, and what your opinion is.

Thanks in advance

I'd be curious too. I looked at one the other day at HD shop and read the instructions, and it seems as if time to uninstall and reinstall would be same as leaving it stock, just don't need tools. It did not seem worth the 89 to me. I wouldn't plan to take them off and carry them and put them on if needed. If i need to take them off, it will only take a few minutes with the right tools.

The Rivco kit from Eglide goodies is easy to install and remove.

I just take them off for the Summer and back on late Fall. Just can not justify the price for removal once a year.

cwilks, the bottom clip is a piece of cake compared to the top attachment.
The top is what makes me want to keep them on. Granted the newer design is easier to take off then the old design, but still a headache.

Tell you what, I'll come over to your place and remove the bottom clip and you come over to my place and remove the top attachment. Deal?? LOL
