Here's a 60 page thread for ya ... albeit an older thread and before the later bending valve technology in the Fork Tube ... (notice the correct spelling if you are searching)
Watch their video on them. Shouldnt make your front end stiff like a race bike because you switch to a lighter weight fork fluid and thats what the valve does. A little difficult to understand and the repeat a few things in the video, but as I understand it, its basically a check valve for up travel that increases the dampening ( which slow the brake dive) but on faster and larger bumps to maintain the best ride the valve opens to allow a faster compression.
That is what drove me to post this. I just watched their video in which it seemed like it would be a nice alternative to full blown replacement of internals.
This product *might* explain why DK Customs doesnt carry the Bitubo front cartridges.
After purchasing a pair of the rear Bitubo shocks from DK I inquired about availability of Bitubo front fork cartridges, but they didnt mention these Intimidators in the email reply.
I had an SG with the Ricor's, which were better than stock, but not perfect.
Also, I don't like the feel of cartridges. They certainly handle better, however they can feel harsh depending on the bumps, but then I have not tried any of the ultra expensive ones!
I now have a RG with Ohlins on the back, and Race Tech valves and springs in the front, and an FXD with Bitubo's in the rear, and Race Tech up front.
I am extremely happy with both of these. The valves are a much better option than the damper tubes, but must be set up correctly, preferably from the git go.
