What is the date code on those tires?
If you try 1000 grit or #0000 steel wool, you will be worn out before making a dent.
Take the rotors off, work on a flat surface, place a towel underneath. Start with 600 grit and a random orbital sander, go to 320 grit. You can stop there or keep getting finer, finish on a buffing wheel if you want them to really shine.
I stop at 320 and polish on a buffing wheel I prefer the look over fully chrome like polished.
