Gas cap door
2019 SGS. Went to a gas station and had to hit the gas cap door button few times before it popped up. Going on a trip solo on Tuesday, it made me think. How the hell would I open that door if the thing was stuck?
Down the road, I will probably replace the whole console but as of now, thats not an option.
so how do you guys deal with the little door not opening up? I did put some Harley lube in there on the plastic piece that moves. Any tricks?

Next time try just touching the bottom of the cover it it flip up. The hinge in it act like a spring some times the just lose that slight spring action that pops them up a bit. Some put a slight bend back in it.

Do you have the standard cover button or the HD barrel lock button?
The barrel lock one is a poor design. You need to push the center button down with a key.
If it's a standard HD button, the above suggestions will work for you.

Thumb directly at the 6 o'clock position with light pressure, press the button with the other hand. Pops freely and easily every time.

When mine exhibited that behavior, I found the two 1/4” screws securing the lid to the hinge we’re loose. Also, the push button release was slightly askew.
