Default Which headers are they?

A while ago someone told me about some headers that looked like V&H dresser duals but had a hidden crossover which should help maintain back pressure and therefore low end torque but I can’t remember what they are.

Does anyone know what they are and whether they’re available for the M8 tourers please?

S&S PowerTune Duals. They are available for the M8. Note that you must use pre-M8 mufflers with these due to the diameter of the right side outlet.

If they looked like V&H did you check their site? I know they made them for my 04.

Default Not sure But...........

I had a tuner wake up my 2019 CVO 117 Limited.
Among other parts the header "he" chose and installed is made by Bassani.

This is incorrect

X over helps eliminate back pressure via scavenging - best application is for a big motor build (on both of mine)

By itself you do lose low end torque - however by using the correct baffling can regain it for a smooth dyno curve (again, big motors builds benefit the most)

For M8s - Fullsac makes a de-catted, dual, header pipe with a X over.., likely others exist

Thanks very much, they're the ones.

Thanks, I knew they weren't V&H but couldn't remember which but as above they're S&S

Thanks, so if you still lose torque with the crossover so what benefit does the crossover give?

Better scavenging (removal) of the exhaust

Back pressure (for torque) would have more to do with pipe diameter - until you incorporated the slip on baffle - then it a balancing act between the two
