Is this the same as newer model came out? I have set my cruise at 80 but I don’t believe much higher as I rarely ride interstates. Now I may just have to go for a ride and see. lol
TTS, PV or Direct Link tuners all have the ability to correct the speedo, which should fix the issue. HD speedos of that era were known to be 3-6% optimistic, and any of the tuners mentioned can correct that. On my 08 , I could set my cruise @ 85, and bump the + 2-5 MPH above that, and it held fine, unless I hit a bump big enough to unload the rear tire. I used a TTS on that bike.
I think mine will set just above 90.
This is from a 2016 manual:
Thanks for that info.....
I was just cruising a section of I-15 yesterday on my '16 Bagger, with my cruise set at 85mph per the speedo (GPS was showing 83 MPH)... worked flawlessly going up and down some hills in the area I was cruising in....
It wasn't until I got off the freeway at my exit, that I realized I was using the cruise control @ 85mph, and thought of this thread... I would have played a round a little to see my cruise control limitations....

Thanks. I have a TTS MasterTune blue interface for my 2005 FLHRCI. I will send it in and get it upgraded to dual bike and see how it works.
FYI, using TTS MasterTune BT with my blue analog tuner, I changed the speedometer value from 2240 to 2140. Not only is the speedo almost spot on now, but I've hit 90 while accelerating with cruise set and it hasn't disengaged. Problem solved.
