What are we talking about? What did I miss? What happened that a new trans is needed? Was someone drag racing and destroyed their trans, or did it just puke itself all over someone's garage floor from not being ridden?
Inquiring minds want to know.
WTF? You are not following OP around HDF?
From what I can gather, there are like 4 threads that he has related to this, and it appears that the trans ran low on fluid.
What symptoms did you see when it started to go bad?
The first thing was an odd noise when in neutral and only when the bike was leaned to the right. The noise made me check my fluids and the transmission was empty. Not a little low, not a lot low, empty. I've had no leaks and have had the bike barely 1 month when it started.
To you other gentlemen I apologize if the thread was vague I didn't want to beat it to death with going over the problem again but in a nutshell: is generally agreed that the fluid was drained during the pre sale service and not refilled. The noise got worse then i drained the fluid that I had put in it and there was enough shavings and fragments that I parked my month old bike and pulled the transmission with help from the fine fellows in this forum. Now I'm waiting for a new gearset to come in and I just ordered a carbon fiber clutch kit to go back in now just debating on which fluid to use.
