Default 1998 Tour pack lights not working

Hello!
I just recently installed the quick attach tour pack that came with my bike. The PO had never installed it but when I did, I noticed the lights did not work. I assume they're supposed to? There were 2 connectors that I found and plugged in. Am I missing something?

Do u have a meter? Check for power and look at bulbs. Think there is only four that year. Beleave ground is at the plug

Try the checks suggested by xcbullet in his post above...

If no power to the bulbs, the PO never used the tour pack, and the connectors just sat under the seat uncapped, it's entirely possible the connectors developed corrosion that may be causing an issue... especially the ground in the connector....

If there is no power to the bulbs, then you need to work backwards to see where the issue lies....

If you can get the wiring schematic for your bike, check the power wire in the harness side connector...

That will let you know if the issue is aft the harness (basically in the Tour-Pak wiring), or between the harness and the fuse panel....

Good luck with your diagnosis...

Well, I Know Not what plugs you are connecting, but a description of the plugs and wire colors may help. I believe there should be a plug for the lights, one for the speakers, (if you have speakers) and some for any antennas?

This may help:
Wiring Diagrams & Electrical Troubleshooting Guide - 1998 All Models

It should bring up the Harley SIP site and the link to

Hope that helps.
