17 SGS issues
I have a 17 street glide special that I cannot figure out what is wrong. Any help is appreciated. Went for a ride over the weekend ran fine in the morning. Headed back home bike started sputtering. Thought it might have been bad gas so ran it on a run, still did it and eventually shut off on me. Pulled over waited a few min and started back up and got it home. Had a long list of codes mostly to do with throttle. Wanted new bars anyway so bought prewired with new twist grip sensor. Changed it all started fine still sputtering. Let it sit a couple days while doing research then the bike wouldnt start at all. Turned over but didnt fire up. Shot some starter fluid In The intake took a bit but fired up and blew black smoke. Bike is running rich as well you can smell it. Not sure where to go from here. Bike has following mods: s&s 475 cam, screaming eagle stage 2 air cleaner. V&h power dual heads with fishtails and a thundermax tuner. Please help.

did you just get gas? seen a couple reports where the fuel truck has loaded diesel into the unleaded tanks.
i would make sure all your grounds are solidly connected, drain and refill your fuel tank and go from there.
