Question 2002 flhrci

Bike will prime up and start but what causes it to not continuously run? I've been told a bad TSM which goes along with the security system. I also installed some aftermarket Halogen lights up front, think incorrect wiring could be the problem or burn that TSM out? Stumped. Bike collecting dust

Check the battery voltage.
I had the same issue on my ‘01 FLHRCI

The voltage was just a tad low… the same battery works great in my ‘97 carbed RK.

With just this info no one will be able to help. But I will take a guess, bad orange mans tweets are to blame. Due a bit of trouble shooting and give us some info.

you either have a TSM or TSSM, If you don't have some sort of a FOB, you don't have a security system.

A TSM won't do anything to keep the bike from running.

not running at idle after starting or not running when you give it fuel?

if you open the gas cap then turn the bike to run so the fuel pump primes do you hear anything but the pump running in there?

Bad hoses in the tank are not uncommon, a bad pressure regulator is not out of the question.

If you were daring you could see if it keeps running on starter fluid... LIGHT HITS of starter fluid as the bike starts sputter should do it....

Which brings me to does it sputter and stall as if it is running out of fuel or does it just quit as in electrical.

What do the plugs look like? Black and sooty is a sign of bad spark

check for intake leaks. If it dies when it warms up that’s your first clue.
