Anyone know where I might find an old ECM so I can program an additional fob for my 2006 Electra Glide Ultra Custom?
The 2006 vintage TSSM allows for two key FOBs to be programmed to it.... You don't need another ECM, you just need someone with the proper tool to add a second FOB to your TSSM...
I have a Daytona Twin-Tec, Twin Scan IV tool, and I have reprogrammed key FOBs for 2001, 2003, and 2016 security systems... There are several other similar tools that can get the job done. Also a dealer with their HD Digital Tech II can do it...
I had a 2006 Road King Classic, so this might not be the same. I also did a thread on adding a key fob and learned a few things along the way. Again, may be different for the Electra Glide.
I didn't need to have an additional tool to mate my new fob to the bike. My 06 only needed to do the sequence with the turn signals and then mate the fobs.
That said, I had the ThunderMax ECU, and if I recall, I needed to use the factory ECU to get the fobs to mate. Lots of great information in this thread of my journey. I hope it helps.
