Just bought a 2019 roadglide special that is blacked out. What do I use to clean the gloss black on the engine. Not the wrinkle black. The gloss black on the primary cover or the rocker covers
Windex, or my favorite, Chemical Guys glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. It's power coat. So anything safe on powder coat and a lint free scratch free cloth.
For the gloss black use a waterless wash, not detailer spray, to clean it. A WW will lift the dirt off the black, quick detailers dont do this. Quick detailers should only be used to remove fingerprints, stuff like that, not for cleaning.
I use the same for chrome also. I can mix up 5 gallons of WW for $20, so it is also economical

I have the same problem and just cannot seem to get the gloss black portions of my 2019 SGS perfect. Sorry for the stupid follow up question, but what is a waterless wash? Any particular brand?
I am also having a tough time with the matte black paint finish? Anything special to be used there?
