After all the problems I was having with the starter kicking back hot or cold on my 13 sg and everyone wondering if I had a weak battery I've finally solved the problem so far. Acr solenoids didn't fix it but removing the compensator from it has solved it so far. Went with a 32 tooth sprocket and clip on tensioner shoe. It's actually quieter than the garbage hd setup lmao. Had to adjust my clutch a touch but nothing major. The kit from harddrive came with the washers, new torx bolt, sprocket and tensioner shoe. Fired right up, let it warm up for a few minutes and whacked the throttle and its quiet. Will ride it tomorrow and see how much better it is. Never will I use a compensator again unless it's a dark horse man o war. Waiting on new lifters and pushrod tubes to arrive so I can install the .574 cams from 🚀 cams. And modify my factory headpipe into a 2-1 after removing the cat.
Why wouldn't I use the hd transmission? If it takes a **** baker and primo make a fairly reasonable replacement. I hardly ever speedshift so the stock unit should last.
Myself and several others have used comp eliminators for years. I personally cant stand the stock compensator and the unreliability/starter kick backs etc etc.
Most of them make a slight whirring noise at cruise speed but Ive never had a single issue on a far from stock motor.

it's night/day better. Faster rpm. I get up to 80 in less than 100 yards or less lmmfao. I went with the 32 tooth instead of factory 34. Definitely woke it up. Waiting for the cam bearings to arrive from feuling and the pushrod tubes.
I might be interested in that setup. I just had the stock compensator replaced with the SE on my 12. I still hear some clatter when Im trying to use the friction zone at startup.
I met a guy who had over 100k with a compensator eliminator, trouble free. I asked the dealer and they wont put them in.
yep and after riding it 150 miles today I've noticed the tensioner isn't applying enough pressure on the chain with the clip on shoe. Looking for a manual tensioner
