Question about installing a police seat on the Road King CVO
Now I have a good comfortable saddle - thin, plus you can move far back on it, almost to the wing, which I do, it turns out such a "chopper" landing. My height is 188 cm and, in principle, it is comfortable to sit and the motorcycle is well controlled

But the police seat was bought, though from a motorcycle on a new (wide) frame. In this regard, I bought a cover for my frame in the states and now gave it to the craftsmen to redo the seat mounts for a shock absorber.
But now I have a question - if I install the seat NOT as it should be in the drain as far forward as possible (Figure 1), that it lies on the tank, but push it as far back as possible to sit on it at the same distance from the steering wheel and footrests (Figure 2) as I am sitting now. To do this, you will need to make an elongated mount on the frame (from the tank) and move the shock absorber mounts from the "tongue" in the back of the seat, where to its middle, since the shock absorber itself is in the frame in its regular place.
Will the technical concept of this seat be violated? Will it work as it should? Will I be thrown out of the seat on bumps, will the handling suffer, or can there still be any negative moments?

The only issue I have with the police seat is I sit about 6" higher with the police seat than I do with the Le pera seat. Ive even lowered the rear of the bike about 2inches, and I still feel like I sit way to high.
This probably wouldnt be an issue on your bike. It is really only an issue for me because I ride an electra glide, and using the police seat makes my windshield useless.
Also. With the brackets you have drawn up you would be putting a lot of stress on that front bracket.
Just my .02

How this re-engineering of the seat will affect how it works is anyones guess, as it would now be a totally custom set-up....
Could work fine, could work like crap.... no way to know...
Based on the above posts, I'd install it as designed and try it out first.... If is is unuseable as designed, then there would be no loss to trying to customize it for your application...
Good luck and let us know how it works out....

This is how mine looks.
However, if you would prefer avoiding fabrications, La Rosa has better custom seats designed for the stock police mounting points. Look up La Rosa Police Solo Seats.
I love mine. Gonna Iron Butt it.
I am preparing for a long three week trip next year. That trip I will attempt two days of 1000 miles in 24 hours. The rest will be relaxing. This police seat is the reason I believe I can do that mileage that again.
