Another guy here tried swapping years, maybe from dyna, there are things you have to know from primary allignment and rotor.

They have different stators when they went to 3 wire. So early one won't match his volt reg

In 2001 ulrras had 45 amp charging HRs 38. They had shim under comp.

2002 last year of timken bearing that may have effect on mating things up.

2001 still had cam sensor on fi. Carbed did not. After market ignition modules for carbs can get rid of cam sensor
99 2000 had the bad cam bearing.

The 1999-2000 TC88 engines had the cam position sensor AND the CKP.....

If you swap out a '99-'00 carbed twin cam's ICM with one from Daytona Twin Tec, you don't need the cam position sensor and can remove it...

I'm not sure how the MM EFI uses the cam position sensor.... but the 2001 Touring MM EFI bikes still had the cam position sensor and CKP.

All other models, including the Delphi EFI softails in 2001, didn't have the cam position sensor.
