I started this post in the M8 section, but couldnt figure out how to move it here. So I am reposting it. There are several replies, mostly from me updated what I have down. If a moderator is viewing please feel free to move it where it belongs.
I just purchased the Flo adjustable hand levers for my 2021 Streetglide. I installed the brake lever with very little difficulty, and got it adjusted to what I thought felt good. I also installed the clutch lever ( remember 2021 has a cable clutch), but I could never get the adjustment correct, it always seems to have at least 2-3 times what HD recommends. I might also add the there are no instruction included in the box or on their web page. I have followed the easy adjustment procedure shown on many you tube videos, but it still has to much end play. Has anyone else installed these on the 2021 and up touring models. Thanks in advance.
Make sure you read the reviews for this p/n on their web page. One of the reviews mentioned that FLO didnt allow the clutch lever to engage the neutral safety switch. I am going to try and contact them today to see if this is true, and see if they have any adjustment suggestions.
DefaultI have an update. I went out in the garage tonight and installed the clutch lever. After fooling with it for a bit, and forcing the self adjuster apart, the lever now has the correct end play. I also change how I had the torsion spring mounted (see the attached photo). You can just see the end of the torsion spring sitting at the bottom of the neutral safety switch. Like I said above there are no instructions included, just an exploded view illustration.
After getting the lever play adjusted I took the bike for a ride. When I activate the cruise control the dash light comes on but the cruise will not engage. I tried it several times. I came home changed back to the stock lever and the cruise works fine. I think they need to figure out what is wrong with the design. I read more reviews on there webs page and several people are have similar, but different issues. BTW, how do I repost this in the touring section? Thanks
