Hey all I've this strange problem which I thought was starter related but maybe it's not.
2012 FLHTP (basically a touring model)
Had to replace the belt drive. Removed primary and rear fork etc.
When I was removing the starter bolts my ratchet extension touched the positive lead on the starter and sparks happened. Damit I forgot to remove the neg off the battery, pulled that off and removed the starter.
Put it all back together and go to start the bike and it just goes click and nothing
lights and dash all seem good.
Leave it over night on tender.
Try to start it again, no click, just nothing. Lights and dash ok though
Go replace starter relay, nothing again.
Go load test battery, comes back as 12.85 v
Remove starter and bench test with battery, spins. Does this mean the solenoid is ok and the motor is ok?
You probably just popped the starter fuse. Don't ask how I know that.
Please explain further!
The starter has a relay. I've swapped it out for a new one. I've also checked all the fuses on the left side of the bike.
Unless there is another place to look for these items?

Any ideas?
Please explain load testing, load testing has nothing to due with voltage.

I took out the battery and went to a local auto shop to have it load tested with their device.
I have a print out from the device (EXP800) Battery Test Voltage: 12.85v, Measured 552 CCA, Rated YB30CL-B
Just making sure the battery was fully charged and working.
