Default Problem with passenger's calves

Hello everyone!

I just bought a 2022 Road King and my wife and I are loving it. It's our first big cruiser together, we've already done a few cruises and plan on lots more!

However, she is quite petite and the sharp forward edges of the saddle bag lids are cutting into the back of her calves. Is there a known fix to this issue?

I appreciate any help or feedback, thanks!

Are the floorboards up as far as they will go? If not, that might be an easy fix. Might want to look at Kuryakyn or some other footpeg for passengers. They make a nice adjustable set my buddy installed for his wife and she really likes them.

As above....look for some adjustable rider pegs/floorboards. And as a new member......

Welcome from Spartan Country, Michigan!
I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, a rough idea of your range per tank, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding, and upwards of 230+ on trips.
Good Luck!!

Not ridden a road king, I'm guessing they don't come stock with the rear bag crash bars. If nothing else works you may want to put those on because those are going to run in front of the bag lids so it would be a rounded surface that her calves would rest against.

The King Special does not come with the bag guards. Only the King standard does.

Harley sells a adjustable passenger footboard kit, it came standard on my 2021 cvo limited. My wife is 5’2” and I have them at the high setting, problem solved.
