My dealer is adding an extra $1000.00 on top of MSRP, set up, delivery, etc for an 08 Ultra anniversary.. Normally they add $500. Is this what folks are seeing on the 08s in general or is mine just cuttin a fat hog?
F-That...Buy somewhere else....Turn the deal donw and see what he has to say....Don`t let them twist your wrist.[8D]
I know it`s tough to walk on the new bike, but for 1K I would. But that`s just me....I bought an 08 FLHTCU for MSRP less the high price dealer prep charge...Mine is not the anniversary edition, but your already paying for the paint scheme...Dealers are like ******...Always after what ever they can rape you for.
When it's a New Model or a Limited Production first comes out... The Stealers will get what they can!!!
Places around here tack on as much as $2500.00 over MSRP (if they can get it)... There are a few MSRP Dealers... Just got to look harder...
My dealer down here charges 1500.00 set up. They never budged off of that. I did however end up getting the bike for about 3k below list price. So I figure I got the 1500.00 back that way. Which in real dollars worked out to 1500.00 below list price then I added a few things and landed about 500.00 below list.
Seen the Anniversary Edition Road Glide at the dealer in Lynnwood, WA.
Was told the same, 1K extra for the special paint!
Just looking, not that I was too interested.
Really, just checking out the new tank, not much difference in looks to me, but did not set on it!
Supply and demand.... Your stealer thinks there is a limited supply and a high demand.... IMO there will be a high supply and low demand... Look what the 03s did... HD came out with huge numbers and many new models and there are many who bought thinking they would be worth something... How bad do you want it.... because a potential buyer down the road may not....
