Just for reference, here's a B4 & after view of a 107 FLHX, using the SE tuner. The red run is stage 1 SE Heavy Breather AC, SE slip-on mufflers, V&H 2-1-2 head pipe. Blue run adds the SE447 Torque cam. Nice improvement, nothing earth shattering.

Not worth 2500 bucks IMO though. But the addition of a real tuner would net much better gains.
Here is the question you might want to ask yourself - what is your bike not doing now that you want it to do.
My 114 runs perfectly - pulls my bike and trike just the way I want/need it to. So for me, I am a cruiser - hit the throttle and just go. Now, what works for you?
Same boat here. My 107 stock does everything I want it to do except run cool enough to make the engine and rider comfortable on hot days, so that is what I am looking to fix. To each their own.

I see your point. My 2004 was hot as heck. When I moved to the 2011 and later the 2014, I found that motor a lot cooler.
In January 2021, I moved to the 114 - and later installed a trike. Since the trike has running boards, I was a little worried that it might get a little too hot for my wife and me, so, I added the cool flow fan. Got the trike near the end of May 2022 - and took several trips including to the Iowa rally. On the way back we came through the Chicago belt and got caught in traffic. As it got hot, that fan kicked on ad we were both comfortable.
You can also turn the fam off, make it turn on automatically or, always on. I have mine set for auto. Works for me and was an inexpensive alternative.
To the OP, yes getting a stage II upgrade is definitely worth it. The bike will just pull so much better and you will just love it. I too, like you, am mechanically challenged. I too have a 2019 FLHXS. I went to an independent shop and had them do my stage II. I attached my bill for you to see. I went with the SE cam and tuner because at the time I wanted to remain warranty compliant. You will see I did go with some after market parts. I already had V&H pipes. I also upgraded to the heavy duty oil pump as my bike was built b4 they started putting those in. You may want to check into that. It would make sense to upgrade the pump as they will have it easily available to swap out while doing the other work. With the MOCO getting slammed for the predatory warranty practices, you need no fear of using after market parts especially with the tuner. That is the one thing I will be doing soon, getting and an after market tuner. This will do two things for me, wringing out as much performance as they can with my set-up and eliminating the governor. Wishing you the best of luck and look forward to hearing on which way you went.

I actually had the cool flow fan on my bike when it overheated and blew the rear cylinder head gasket (105 degree day, 75 mph interstate riding). Agree that it is nice for the rider and if I had one of the water cooled engines I'd probably just put it back on and call it good. Looking at adding one of these or something similar https://www.dkcustomproducts.com/jim...cam-engine.htm
I've had Stage 2 with the horsepower cam installed on various M8 bikes. The cost has been generally around $1400-$1500, dont know where the $4k number is coming from.
