I just bought my first HD, 19 Electra Glide Standard. The previous owner installed Rinehart 4.5” mufflers and removed the baffles. It’s a wee bit loud for me. Can a guy buy and re-install baffles for these? Thanks.
I feel you with this. The Vance and Hines that came with my 2015 Road King were absolutely horrible. Someone paid like $1,500 just to gut the pipes and make it sound painfully bad.
I totally restored to stock, and even added the extra baffle to quiet it down and get some back pressure. These pipes are plenty louder than stock and don't cause the populace to run in pain clutching their ears.
Sure can. Go to their website and they sell the baffles and packed ones as well. Mine came with baffles and I just recently packed them myself with SS screening and then wrapped in fiberglass muffler packing material. Sound is nice and deep now and I regained the low end torque due to the freer flow of after market pipes compared to OEM muffs.
I haven't checked this recently, but as I recall, V&H sells what they call "quiet baffles" and something quieter than that, I think. There are Youtube videos of people testing these.
