Default Deutsch Connectors

A long time ago I purchasedsome Deutsch DTM Series 2-Way Connectors from Batts Racing at the advise of another forum member to make my tour pak wiring quick disconnect. I finally got around to installing a detachable kit on my '06 Ultra tour pak so now I'm ready to attack the wiring. The connectors I purchased are:

DTM06-6S-E004 (2)
DTM04-6P-E004 (2)
DTM04-3P-E004 (1)
DTM06-3S-E004 (1)

Since it was so long ago I can't remember whichconnectors go where. If anyone has used these types of connectors on their tour paks I would appreciate some assistance on how they wereinstalled.

Thank you!

Smitty: The tour pak wiring uses a 3-wire connector. Also, the touring bikes for at least several years (mine is an '04 EG) come with a quick disconnect three-way connector on theharness for connection to the tour pak wiring. It will be located on the left side of the bike, near/under the seat.

On my '04 Service Manual Main Harness diagram it is connector 12A, and has femalesockets; the wiring from the tour pak will be pins in a 3-wire connector.

You probablyalready have the above information and I have not understood your question.

If you are going toassemble your ownconnectors, an inexpensive but very effective crimping tool is Philmore WS26; purchased from Fry's Electronics for $7.99.

Thanks pingman. I'll take a closer look at mine under the seat. If I remember correctly the reason one of the members here used the Deutsch connectors was to make it easier to connect/disconnect the speaker and light wires near the seat without having to run it them tothe tour pak each time.

Smitty: The tour pak connector will be there, but didn't realize you also had speakers and antennas to deal with. I recall the thread you mentioned and he did use Deutsch connectors for the extra wiring. I may have saved the thread and if I did I will PM it to you.
