He did say in the opening post he wasn't interested in riding the bike up. Guess the current crowd just assumes the only reason to put a bike on a lift is routine maintenance?
OP, the only real option is to use a longer ramp to lessen the slope if yours is too steep without that earlier idea of digging out the floor to make the table flush with the ground.
Your idea is clearly not the only real option.

I have the SAM 1200, not sure if it would be ok for a Tri Glide (which will be showing up in my garage soon).
Got it, "snotty responses" are only permitted by you and should go unanswered if your intent was to take a pot shot at my attempt to answer the question.
But I meant that in jest. Clearly not the crowd for that.
I have the HF lift, mounted a Wheeldock chock on the front and made a couple walkways out of wood to put along side to put my feed down and just ride it up, works fine but sure would love to have one of those with side panels.
