Default Bars

I installed the HD OEM as well; seems like they could be beneficial...but I hope I never need them!

Your legs can't touch these as a passenger, they barely in front of the bags.

I'm adding the hd bars to my new rgs before it ever leaves the garage on my first ride. Sure they're pricey but so are smashed up bags from a drop.

They probably do, I just think they look terrible.

Doh! I was heading to the recycling center and tossed them with some other stuff. I think I looked on eBay to see what they were going for and didn't want to hassle with it.

The guards are definitely beneficial protection if an unplanned drop (is there another kind?) happens. Do I think a bike looks better with or without them? It's a wash to me....total non-issue. I've not seen anyone complain about interference with passenger leg comfort, though I'm sure it has happened for somebody somewhere. We've logged a LOT of miles with them and my wife says she is never aware of them.
