I'm not familiar with the V&H sound, but I have the Rush Big Louies with slash-ups on my '13 King. They have a deep throaty sound. I'm not sure if they still make the slash cut, but the newer ones have different tips. Might be worth a call if you like them.
Had FM Street Outlaws (definitely nice mufflers) but ended up going over to Khrome Werks, 4.5" instead of the FM 4". The slash style end cap on the KWs is also 4-way directional, which is nice is you ever want to change up the look.

I have a 2010 limited and run the fuel moto jackpot 4” mufflers and they’re not loud.Stereo friendly.The monster rounds will be a little quieter. I have new in the box super trapp 4” stouts I may try this summer.2 decibels louder than stock.
