Bought my first HD 40 years ago this year.
They were great then and even better now.
Road King's by far my favorite.
Kind of disappointed HD dropped the Road King this year.
Did they drop the Road King, I am pretty sure I saw a new 2023 on the website. I do believe it was a Road King Special and not just a Road King or a Road King Classic.
Happy anniversary, hopefully the absence of the road king standard is a stunt and on the 18th a new one is reveled or an anniversary version returns next year , it’s the best bike the make, you can dress it up or strip it down.

I would say the same for the Electra Glide Standard,I have a '19 nicely outfitted with just what I want and nothing I didn't.
Oh and boy did I save a ton of money!
Same here, I bought my first HD in 1981 a brand new XLCH, came with a 6 months, 3000 mile warranty, Traded it in a year later for a FXWG, paid $6395 came with a 10 1/2 % loan, My Dad had a fit I paid that much for anything, let alone a motorcycle, Loved that bike, Have had a HD ever since. Ride 2010 EG, older we get the bigger the seat, My wife and I went up to the HD museum, We found the WG, she said how did we put so many miles on that SEAT.
The road king special is a stripped down touring bike. Took away everything that makes it a king. Big deal they put a 114 on it. Up charge 3 grand. I'll pass.
Also they put the shittyass street glide seat on it.
